Seunghee Lee

Seunghee Lee is a Grammy®-nominated clarinetist, recording artist, TEDx speaker, and music entrepreneur based in New York City. Her recent album, Aspire, recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra, earned international acclaim, showcasing her artistry and versatility. With a career spanning performance, entrepreneurship, and arts leadership, she brings a dynamic blend of musicianship and business acumen to the classical music world.
Ms. Lee is also the founder of Musica Solis, an independent classical record label and sheet music publisher. Through her artist consulting initiative, she is dedicated to mentoring emerging musicians and fostering innovative career paths, empowering them to navigate the fast-evolving music industry.
She is a frequent guest lecturer on music entrepreneurship and has spoken at Harvard Business School, the Yale School of Music, the Eastman School of Music, Seoul National University, and Juilliard Pre-College. Her signature lecture series, You Are the Company, inspires musicians to shift their mindset and thrive as independent artists and industry leaders.
Beyond music, she is an accomplished golfer, having won numerous amateur tournaments and championships. Known as “Sunny Kang” in the golf world, she was featured in Hong Kong Golfer Magazine and spoke at TEDx Hong Kong about the surprising parallels between golf and classical music, exploring the mental discipline and challenges of both through the lens of a perfectionist.
Ms. Lee holds a BA (’90) from the Eastman School of Music and an MM (’92) and AD (’94) from the Yale School of Music.
