Rashmi Pendse
Rashmi Pendse is Director of North America Social Impact at Mastercard’s Center for Inclusive Growth, where she focuses on grantmaking and investments related to small business, impact data science, and racial equity.
Previously, she was a founding principal of the Citi Impact Fund, where she originated and executed venture capital investments in U.S.-based double-bottom-line startups and led the Fund’s Sustainability and Workforce Development verticals. Rashmi has also worked in international development, serving as an economic development advisor to the International Finance Corporation, USAID, and a number of nonprofit organizations advancing SME development and microfinance. She began her career working in technology startups and investment banking.
Rashmi studied history at Yale University and international affairs and economics at The Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Bologna, Italy and Washington, DC.
