Norma Padron

Dr. Padron is a portfolio manager within J.P. Morgan’s Commercial & Investment Bank in the Innovation Economy team, partnering with founders and investors of early-stage deep science and emerging technology companies to accelerate growth.
Previously, Dr. Padron founded EmpiricaLab, a Techstars-backed enterprise software startup; helped scale digital health technologies on Anthem’s new ventures team; and led national data and applied research initiatives in healthcare. Her career spans academia, data science leadership, venture development, and corporate strategy. She holds a PhD in Economics from Yale and master’s degrees from Duke and Pompeu Fabra, with training across economics, mathematics, and public health, and expertise in advanced quantitative modeling and leveraging large-scale data for decision-making. Dr. Padron has held faculty appointments at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Thomas Jefferson University, and currently serves as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Yale Ventures, a Venture Partner at No Border Ventures, and a board member at ConsiliumBots, a nonprofit applying AI in education. Her mission is to support founders as they build and scale, advancing science and technology for lasting, positive impact.
