Nikole Allen

Nikole Allen is an experienced program manager and director with a strong background in global health, particularly in Africa, Southeast Asia, and the US. She is currently serving as the Program Director at the Yale School of Public Health since February 2024. She has been a Health Policy and Management Lecturer at the same institution since September 2016. Previously, she was Associate Director at the Office of Public Health Practice at Yale from October 2022 to June 2024.

Nikole has also worked as the Senior Program Director at the Yale Institute for Global Health from May 2019 to October 2022, focusing on addressing global health issues through research and education. Her earlier roles include Program Director at the Yale School of Medicine, where she supported the Liberian Health Workforce Program, and Assistant Director of Field Programs at the Yale Global Health Leadership Institute.

Additionally, she served on the Board of Directors for the Northeast Division of the National Peace Corps Association from August 2018 to July 2022. She worked with the Clinton Health Access Initiative in Ethiopia. Nikole’s career began with the United States Peace Corps as an HIV/AIDS Community Advisor in Ethiopia from September 2009 to March 2013.

Her interests lie in strengthening the health system, hospital management and enhancing the educational and research capacities of African peer institutions.
