Ben Young

Ben (SOM ’16) is from Washington, D.C. and went to Swarthmore College. After graduating, Ben joined Teach for America where he taught high school math for 5 years in West Philadelphia and Providence, RI. After teaching, Ben went to Yale School of Management, where he co-founded Hugo & Hoby during the first year of his MBA with his roommate and classmate, Frederick Kukelhaus (SOM ’16).
Hugo & Hoby designs and fabricates custom furniture and architectural elements for commercial spaces nationwide by partnering with a network of local fabrication partners. We’re proudly a 1% For The Planet Member and Certified B Corp – meeting the very highest standards of social and environmental impact.
Since our founding, we have replanted over 100,000 trees in at-risk forests in the region.
