Anthony D. Sabatelli
Anthony D. Sabatelli is a seasoned patent counsel with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Since February 2019, he has served as Patent Counsel at Wiggin and Dana LLP in the Greater New York City Area, where he focuses on developing business-oriented patent strategies and navigating complex legal issues at the intersection of patent and regulatory law. He has also held a professional role at Nature’s Fingerprint since September 2013.
Previously, he was a Partner at Dilworth IP from November 2013 to February 2019, where he provided legal services to clients in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, leveraging his over twenty years of in-house legal experience. His earlier roles include Vice President, General Counsel, and Chief Patent Counsel at Rib-X Pharmaceuticals (now Melinta Therapeutics) from December 2002 to August 2013 and Assistant Counsel at Merck from May 1997 to October 2002. He began his career at Procter & Gamble as Counsel for Patents from January 1984 to April 1997.
In addition to his professional roles, Anthony has been actively involved in the Yale University Graduate School Alumni Association, serving as Chair from 2014 until July 2020. His diverse background combines legal expertise with a PhD in organic chemistry, enabling him to effectively address the needs of his clients in the complex landscape of patent law.
