Anne Merritt
Dr. Anne Merritt is a physician-executive operating at the intersection of generative AI, healthcare, and global regulatory strategy. As a Senior Product Manager at Google, she leads the development of AI governance architecture to enable the deployment of cutting-edge AI tools in global markets. Her technical contributions to AI safety infrastructure were recognized with the Google Search Tech Impact Award.
Previously, Anne served as Google’s Head of Health Product and Strategy, where she led a cross-functional organization of engineers and physicians to build the company’s global COVID-19 Search experience, serving billions of users. Her work in technical innovation also earned her the Google Defensive Publication Award for her advancements in detecting information gaps online.
Beyond her industry leadership, Anne is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Yale University and a Faculty Advisor for the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered AI. She serves on the Board of Advisors for StartX and as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Yale Ventures, mentoring founders on healthcare technology. Anne holds an MD from Yale School of Medicine, an MS in Management from Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a BA in Chemistry from Dartmouth College.
