Bringing in new investment is hard, mostly because what we think matters does not. And things often considered irrelevant are the most important. I will share an open book of failures and learnings from my past 3 years of raising $14m in capital as first time founder.
Session Learning Objectives:
Students will be learning about the realities of raising capital—what is the experience actually like? We will unpack tactics to understand quickly what different VCs are looking for, students will leave with questions to ask, as well as a new strategy to prepare for variegate types of conversations. We will review pitfalls and winning strategies from intros through closing.
