Preeti Sinha

Preeti Sinha is an accomplished investment banker and development financier with over 30 years of experience in leading capital mobilization efforts across various global institutions. Most recently, she served as the Executive Secretary for the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) from February 2021 to February 2024, where she focused on creating capital pathways for developing countries through innovative financing instruments.

Prior to her role at UNCDF, she was the Chief Performance/Principal Resource Mobilization Officer at the African Development Bank Group from August 2008 to July 2014, where she successfully mobilized $7.3 billion for the African Development Fund and fostered strategic collaborations with major financial institutions.

Her earlier experiences include leading the Financing for Development Initiative at the World Economic Forum, establishing Rabobank’s presence in India, and working in investment banking roles at Lehman Brothers, J.P. Morgan, and the World Bank Group. Throughout her career, she has raised $20 billion in resource mobilization and has been actively involved in various boards and organizations related to finance and development.
