Startup Yale 2027: Call for Submissions
Have an idea that could spark conversations, shift perspectives, or inspire bold actions? Startup Yale 2027 is now accepting proposals for breakout sessions to be held on Friday, April 9, 2027 at Hotel Marcel in New Haven. All proposals are due by Friday, October 30, 2026.
We’re looking for engaging workshops, dynamic panel discussions, and thought-provoking presentations that bring together Yale students, local innovators, and national voices to explore what’s next in innovation.
Whether you’re a student, educator, founder, policymaker, or community leader, we want to hear your ideas—especially if they touch on:
- Tech or tech-enabled ventures
- Sustainability
- Healthcare
- Global health or education
- New Haven-focused innovation
- Social innovation
- Student-led ventures
- Support for under-resourced innovators
Successful proposals will offer a clear takeaway for participants while creating an engaging experience that reflects the energy, curiosity, and diversity of the Startup Yale community. All proposals will be subject to this rubric.
If accepted, presenters will be paid at the Tsai CITY standard payment rates. For presentations: $1400 + travel expenses in the Northeast for a workshop and office hours afterwards. For panels: $350 + travel expenses in the Northeast/person on the panel. Due to university policies, any Yale students, staff, or faculty presenting at Startup Yale 2027 will not be paid.
Applicants will be notified of decisions by November 20, 2026.
